A trip to Sigulda and Turaida outside of Riga, Latvia.

The first image is from the Sigulda castle. From a tower at Sigulda, one can spot the Turaida castle complex in the distance (with the tall tower above the trees). A short drive took us to the Turaida castle. From there, we traveled to the nearby grotto where, according to legend, the waters represent the tears of a cheating queen. The walls of the grotto have many inscriptions from locals. Along the way, a whimsical sculpture, bee and the familiar moth were spotted. The last 2 images are from the old town area of Riga.
